Why learn another language? |

People learn another language for a variety of reasons. They may plan to travel to the country or their community may be multi-lingual or they may wish to do business in another country.
Why should you learn another language?
In many countries, maybe even your own country, there are large communities of that speak languages other than the native languages.
- More than 100 million people in 38 countries speak German.
- Roughly 200 million people around the world speak French.
- Italian is spoken by approximately 70 million people.
- An estimated 400 million people speak Spanish.
That's a lot of reasons to learn another language. I'm giving you only four reasons to learn another language.
1. For Business
Learning another language will help you to improve your prospects of doing business in other countries. It may be true that in many of these countries you could speak English and get by with it, by speaking their language you will have the advantage of understanding what is said in its original context. Translators normally summarise what is said and will very seldom carry over what was truly said. By understanding the other language you have an additional advantage. Keep in mind that your counterpart will probably be able to understand English.
